For every project,
a type of GRC
Technical selection
Not all solutions
are equal
A ventilated façade does not demand the same as a load-bearing panel. Our technical expertise allows us to formulate mixes and production processes tailored to each challenge.
The four main typologies
Typology 01
GRC UltraLight
A fibre cement whose composition can reduce the specific weight of standard GRC by up to 40%, ranging between 1,400 and 1,600 kg/m³. It is practically half the weight of conventional concrete.
Ideal for façade refurbishment on buildings where the structure cannot support additional loads, or for large formats that need to minimise fixing weight. The addition of lightweight aggregates or specific additives enables this reduction without compromising essential performance.
Typology 02
GRC Standard Premix
A fibre cement with a specific weight of approximately 2,000 kg/m³. It is the benchmark GRC, offering an optimal balance of mechanical strength, durability and workability on site.
GRC Premix allows the most versatile formulations: it can even be mixed with a builder's concrete mixer, formulated as self-compacting or for light vibration with a lower superplasticiser dosage. In addition to pre-cut fibre, woven alkali-resistant glass fibre (meshes) may also be used.
Typology 03 · Process
GRC Sprayed
(Spray-applied)
The Sprayed process is the most widely known worldwide. The cement slurry and AR fibres are simultaneously sprayed onto the mould using a spray-gun and its pumping unit.
The simultaneous spraying of slurry and chopped fibre allows a three-dimensional random fibre distribution, ensuring mechanical isotropy. Generally accompanied by a galvanised steel subframe. It allows large-format pieces with complex geometries.
It is advisable to spray 4 layers and compact them carefully with a roller.
Typology 04 · High Performance
GRC Premix
/ High Performance
High Performance GRC (HP-GFRC, UHQGRC) are formulations that approach those of UHPC with reactive additions and tightly packed particle-size distributions. They can be either Premix or Sprayed. They may be additionally reinforced with woven alkali-resistant glass fibre (meshes).
Construction systems
The four architectural
solutions of GRC
Sandwich Panel
Two GRC layers with thermal insulation inside. High energy efficiency. Façade + insulation + finish in a single precast piece.
Stud Frame
GRC panel fixed to a galvanised steel subframe. Maximum rigidity and large formats. The most widely used system in office buildings and multi-unit housing.
Shells
Free-form elements with no internal subframe. Roofs, vaults and organic shapes. The formal freedom of GRC at its finest.
Latticework (Openwork)
Lattice screens, perforated panels and openwork elements. Solar control, privacy and aesthetics simultaneously. Highly sought-after for façades of mixed-use buildings.
